Countries API is a public, read-only JSON service in the REST Countries tradition, plus a separate flag CDN. There are no API keys or sign-up. Cross-origin requests are allowed.

What you get

  • flags.svg and flags.png URLs on every full record.
  • REST Countries–style filters: alpha, name, capital, region, language, currency, independence.
  • Capped list pages (max 5) instead of a bulk /all dump.
